BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES

These programmes are comprised of two levels; NTA Level 7 (Higher Diploma) and NTA Level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree). NTA Level 7 has four semesters (equivalent to two years) and NTA Level 8 has two semesters (equivalent to one year). Therefore, NTA Level 7 is an entry point to the Degree programmes.

BACHELOR DEGREE IN AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING (BAE) - NTA LEVEL 8

The program for Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering is aimed at providing students with the skills necessary to make an immediate impact in the Automotive Industry and related fields. This program specifically aims at producing highly trained graduates with skills in analysis, design, manufacturing and management to satisfy the Automotive and Transport Industry demand in Tanzania and beyond.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION:

Applicants must possess a Higher Diploma in Automobile Engineering (NTA Level 7).

HIGHER DIPLOMA IN AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING - NTA LEVEL 7

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

(i) Applicants must posses Ordinary Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent Diploma with at least B grade or FTC with at least C grade.

OR

(ii) Possession of Ordinary Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Equivalent with at least C grade and pass the Institute’s entry examination.

OR

(iii) Mature Age Entry: Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

be at least 25 years old, have completed Form IV with at least five (5) Credits including a Credit in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering Science. Must have at least four years experience in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering and must pass the Institute’s entry examination.

OR

Possession of at least two (2) Principal level passes in the ‘A’ level Certificate of Secondary Education in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects with an aggregate of at least 4.5. The applicant would have to attend the Institute’s nine months bridging course and pass examination of the course.

BACHELOR DEGREE IN LOGISTICS & TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT (BLTM) - NTA LEVEL 8

Plan, organize and control logistics and transport undertakings.Guided by the programme philosophy and marketing demand for personnel in logistics and transport to fill up the gap in operational undertakings, the following principal learning outcomes shall be applied:-

 

Manage Company resources economically, Analyze logistics and transport activities, Analyze company operational business environment, Forecast future company situation

ENTRY QUALIFICATION:

Applicants must possess a Higher Diploma in Logistics and Transport Management (NTA Level 7).

HIGHER DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT  - NTA LEVEL 7

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

(i) Possession of Ordinary Diploma in Logistics and Transport Management or equivalent with at least Lower Second Class or B grade from a recognized Institution.

OR

(ii) Possession of any relevant Ordinary Diploma with at least a Pass or C grade and pass the Institute’s entry examination.

OR

Mature Age Entry: Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

be at least 25 years old, have completed Form IV with at least three (3) Credits and at least passes in Mathematics and English, Must have at least four years experience in Transport undertakings and must pass the Institute’s entry examination,

OR

Two (2) Principal level passes in the ‘A’ level Certificate of Secondary Education in two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of at least 4.5 points plus Passes in English and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level Secondary Education. The applicant would have to attend the Institute’s bridging course and pass examination of the course.

BACHELORS DEGREE IN FREIGHT CLEARING AND FORWARDING (BFCF) - NTA LEVEL 8

Guided by the programme philosophy and marketing demand for personnel in Freight Clearing and Forwarding to fill up the gap in operational undertakings, the programme has following principal learning outcomes:

Plan, organize and control freight clearing and forwarding undertakings, Manage freight clearing and forwarding Company resources economically, Analyze freight clearing and forwarding activities, Analyze company operational business environment, Forecast future company situation

ENTRY QUALIFICATION:

Applicants must have a Higher Diploma in Freight Clearing and Forwarding (NTA Level 7).

HIGHER DIPLOMA IN FREIGHT CLEARING AND FORWARDING - NTA LEVEL 7

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

(i) Possession of Ordinary Diploma in Freight Clearing and Forwarding or equivalent Diploma with at least Lower Second Class or B grade from a recognized Institution.

OR

(ii) Possession of any relevant Diploma with at least a Pass or C grade from a recognized Institution and pass the Institute’s entry examination.

OR

(iii) Mature Age Entry: Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

be at least 25 years old, have completed Form IV with at least three (3) Credits and at least passes in Mathematics and English, Must have at least four years experience in Freight Clearing and Forwarding undertakings and must pass the Institute’s entry examination.

OR

(iv) Two (2) Principal level passes in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (A.C.S.E.) in two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of at least 4.5 points plus at least passes in English and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level Secondary Education. The applicant would have to attend the Institute’s bridging course and pass examination of the course.
