It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Centre for Professional Development (CPD) at the National Institute of Transport (NIT) which offers various professional trainings. CPD provides world class training and guidance to professionals to enhance the application of professionals’ creative thinking, innovation, professional courtesy and professional integrity through the use of experienced, competent and skilled experts, modern technology in best learning environment.

ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)

Centre for Professional Development (CPD) is responsible to the high quality of professional development, including the effective implementation of appropriate procedures to ensure that there are continuous improvements of the professional skills and knowledge. This is achieved through short course training to the professionals and technicians.
Professional development allows professionals to strengthen their skills that each employee needs to improve. A development program brings all employees to a higher level so they all have similar skills and knowledge. Contemporarily, the world of business demands practitioners who are professionally qualified with intelligence and competence to face routine and strategic challenges and recommend creative and well-informed decisions that yield better progressive results.

PROGRAMS UNDER CPD

CPD provides world class training and guidance to professionals to enhance the application of professionals’ creative thinking, innovation, professional courtesy and professional integrity through the use of experienced, competent and skilled experts, modern technology in best learning environment. Currently the Programs under CPD are:

  • Transport officers short course ( 2 weeks)
  • Cargo Tallying for International shipping (10 weeks)
  • Health and safety short course (3 days)
  • International Shipping Agency and Port operations (10 weeks)
  • Enhancing integrity in the work place short couse (1 week)
