The Institute has facilities such as football pitch, netball and volleyball courts for supporting sports, games and recreations among students and staff. The Department coordinates training and participation of NIT teams in various tourneys within and outside the Institute which include SHIMMUTA, SHIMIVUTA, Beach Soccer, Interclass Competitions and Fresher’s Ball Party. Moreover, the provided sports, games, recreational programs, facilities and services to the entire NIT community are meant to foster personal growth and align with Sports Development Policy, 1995.
