Objective

The objective of the Unit is to provide legal advice to the Institute.

This Unit performs the following activities: –

1. Record the Governing Council meetings;
2. Provide statutory service for the Council in accordance with the National Institute of Transport charter/Act, by-Laws, Regulations, and other legal requirements;
3. Advice the Rector in respect of all legal matters of the Institute; and
4. A liaison between the Institute and the external legal counsel;
5. To prepare appropriate budget for the unit.

This Unit is led by a Head.
